Write in one corner of the board:
No words written on the board
1 Tell your learners these are the rules to a game your going to play.
2 Place chair in front of the board with its back to the board.
3 Make sure there is enough space for you to walk between the chair and the board.
4 Ask a learner to volunteer and sit in the chair with its back to the board.
5 Write one of the sentences (adapted from the Samorost 2 walkthrough) onto the board.
6 Tell the class to follow to rules and describe the sentence on the board for the learner at the front to guess.
7 When the learner at the front can say the complete sentence they can choose a classmate to take his place.
8 Write a new sentence on the board.
You can change the sentences to either cover a range of grammar or focus on one particular grammar point.
Hot Seat Samorost Sentence
The dog barked at the aliens.
The man climbed down the ladder.
The snail fell asleep.
pick up the hammer and go to the robot.
The monkey threw the insect up.
The machine has broken down.
The aliens got away with the dog.
The monster is watching football on tv.
The monkey is jumping in the trees.
The dog is running inside the wheel.
The dog has been kidnapped (by aliens).
The man has been trapped (by the tree).
The monster has been caught (by something in the ceiling).

The spaceship has landed in the garden.
A rat has ran out of the fridge.
The spider has caught the fly in his web.
If you put the snail to sleep you can get the hammer.
If you boil the water you make a sleep potion.
If you hit the robot on the head he opens the door.
The aliens like apples.
The alien works in a factory.
The dog wants to eat the sausage.
Alternatively adapt the walkthrough for your own use.
