Preparation
Print off a copy of the Samorost 2 action verbs for each pair of learners.

Proceedure
Tell learners they are going to watch a video of a game. As they watch they need to put the action verbs in the order they see them happen. Hand out a copy of the action verbs to each pair.

Step 1
Learners watch the first video (see below) and put the verbs in order on the table in front of them.

Step 2
In open class ask learners what happened. i.e. the correct order of the verbs. Encourage the learners to expand on the verbs and use complete sentences.

Step 3
Learners watch the second video (see below) and put the verbs in order on the table in front of them.

Step 4
In open class ask learners what happened. i.e. the correct order of the verbs. Encourage the learners to expand on the verbs and use complete sentences.

Post Activity
You may choose to just do the first video due to time constraints. If you do ask learners to copy down the verbs that weren't used in the first video into their notebooks. For homework they can watch the 2nd video and order the remaining verbs in the correct order. Next class learners can compare their answers.

You could now try the Action Speaks Louder Than Words or The Pen is Mightier Than The Sword activities

The Video links are below:

1st Video

2nd video

For homework learners can continue with the videos and write the walkthrough for the next two screens. Or learners can be given the chance to play the game using their walkthrough.
