Preparation
Print off a copy of the walkthrough for yourself.

Play
Tell learners they are going to watch a video of a game. They need to write down what happens in order to be able to play the game.

Step 1
Learners watch the video. (Pause when the rocket is flying through space).

Step 2
In open class ask learners what happened. i.e. the story. Then ask them what the player had to do.

Step 3
Learners write down the walkthrough element of the game. (compare what learners say to the walkthrough you have).

Step 4
Continue with the video and repeat the steps above.

For homework learners can continue with the videos and write the walkthrough for the next two screens. Or learners can be given the chance to play the game using their walkthrough.

You may ask your learners to do one of the optional worksheets below while they play the game or after:

A The Mind The Gap activity worksheet if you want.
B Grammar Jigsaw. This activity continues from A and stops when Gnome uncovers the ladder under the fridge and goes down. This should be done as a post play after this section of the game and back in the classroom.
C Scramble
D Over & Out
